With 120 exhibitors from 16 countries from Europe, Asia and America, along with 1,100 visitors, the GEO-T Expo is now seen by the sector as a global marketplace for the international Geothermal industry in Europe.
In a representative survey, both exhibitors and visitors were impressed with the high proportion of international visitors - more than 25 percent, which is high for a first trade fair. More than 90 percent of the visitors were very satisfied with what the GEO-T Expo had to offer. The exhibitors and visitors also rated highly the quality of the speakers and the content of the exhibition forums, which focused on the subjects of “Facility Management”, “Central America” and “Turkey”.
The cooperation between the GEO-T Expo and the German Geothermal Association (GtV) was also viewed very favourably. This collaboration has been extended until 2015 on the fringes of the GEO-T Expo. Therefore, for the next two years, the most important event in the geothermal sector calendar - the International Geothermal Congress (DGK), will be taking place at the trade fair in Essen. The combination of specialised trade fair and congress was greatly approved of by a large majority of the exhibitors - 92%.
In 2014, the GEO-T Expo will take place in Essen on November 11 - 13.
