You reach MESSE ESSEN in 5 minutes from the traffic junction at Essen main railway station. The underground train line 11 goes direct to the entrances "Messe Ost", "Messe West" and "Messe Süd".

With over 500 takeoffs and landings every day, it offers flights to over 170 cities in Germany and the rest of the world. You will find the Messe Essen information counter in the centre of the arrivals level in terminal B. Düsseldorf airport is only 20 minutes away by car from the Essen fair grounds.

Major and medium-sized enterprises have their managers and executives flown into the Essen/Mülheim airport. You can then reach the fair in 10 minutes by car or taxi.

Car park 2, right in the heart of the lively district of Rüttenscheid, offers the possibility of utilities and waste disposal. Furthermore, you can either take the shuttle bus to the fair or go the short distance on foot.

Rüttenscheid is the "in" district of Essen with pubs, restaurants, galleries and small boutiques – all in the direct vicinity of car park 2. An underground station and bus links are also available.

We would request you to inform us in writing in good time that you want such a parking space so that we can plan accordingly.

DCC Campingplatz Essen Werden

Im Essener Stadtteil Werden befindet sich direkt an der Ruhr ein stadtnaher und dennoch im Grünen gelegener Campingplatz mit befestigten MoCa-Plätzen, 100 Touristenplätzen und 180 Dauerstellplätzen.

Essen Werden ist ein kleiner Stadtteil mit historischer Altstadt, Fachwerkhäusern und Kopfsteinpflaster. Bei gutem Wetter locken die Ruhr und der Baldeneysee zu einem Spaziergang, einer Bootstour oder einer Partie Minigolf. Dank ausgezeichneter Nahverkehrsverbindungen - die S-Bahn ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Platz entfernt - ist der Campingplatz ein guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch der Messe und der Stadt Essen.

DCC Campingplatz am Baldeneysee

Einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Wasser bietet der Campingpark Baldeneysee. Der Platz ist ganzjährig geöffnet und verfügt über eine Gartenwirtschaft, Restaurant und Kiosk. Die sanitären Anlagen sind behinderten- und kindgerecht. Der nächste Ort ist ca. vier Kilometer entfernt.

As from January 2012 the Ruhr is covered by a spatially connected Low emission zone, within which just vehicles with a fine particle badges will be allowed to enter.

From January 2013 on only vehicles displaying a green or yellow badge on their windscreens are authorised to travel in these area. From Juli 2014 on only vehicles with a green badge have this permission.

We suggest an alternative routeing via autobahn A52. Please use motorway junction Essen Rüttenscheid and Essen Haarzopf respectively. Hence, the fairground as well as the parking lots are accessible without entering the low emission zone.
